  2. Two talented Santa Cruz sisters share their harmonies, cultivated from years of growing up together. 
  3. Big deal at the latest poetry reading from The Hive: California’s poet laureate and a Pulitzer poet come together in one place at one time at Bookshop.
  4. It’s an annual tradition at Santa Cruz’s Barrios Unidos to pay respect to the great Cesar Chavez on his birthday, with food, live music and all kinds of fun.
  5. Wait, dudes in suits and lucha libre masks playing wildly inventive surf guitar? And the best Tex-Mex swing band in California? On the same night?
  6. It would be enough if Mountain Community Theater gave us all “The Odd Couple,” but instead MCT is presenting two different “Odd Couples.”
  7. The great Americana-gothic trio The Devil Makes Three started right here in Santa Cruz, and now DM3 is back in their old stomping grounds.
  8. The MAH honors local women in a celebration that includes games, talks and stories. 
  9. She’s been around, but maybe you haven’t heard the lovely, folk-ish work of singer-songwriter Madi Diaz. She’s worth discovering.
