Here, find a curated list of the best food and drink events in Santa Cruz County for the coming week. At the top, I share my picks of unmissable local happenings.
On Saturday, Sante Adairius Rustic Ales is hosting 831 Day – on Aug. 31, get it? – to celebrate the area code that covers Santa Cruz County and extends south to Salinas and Monterey, and Sante’s 831 West Coast IPA. At the all-day party at its Capitola brewery and taproom, there will be 831-themed trivia, music from DJ2Row, food from local pop-ups Off the Hook Sushi and FAFO Lumpia, plus new beers and great vibes.
Grab a cup of freshly roasted and brewed joe and browse works from local artists and makers at the Verve Pop-Up Market this Saturday. The market will be held in the parking lot at Verve’s Seabright location and roastery, and includes ceramics, records, flowers, vintage clothing, jewelry, food, plants and more.
