Sip for Second Harvest, an annual fundraiser that supports Second Harvest Food Bank in Santa Cruz County, returns this Sunday. This event will be held at Seascape Golf Club from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and includes wine tasting from local wineries, appetizers and a commemorative glass. All of the proceeds provide healthy food and nutrition education to local residents. Tickets are $60 per person.
Food writer and former Food & Wine magazine editor Khushbu Shah comes to Bookshop Santa Cruz this Sunday to promote her inaugural cookbook. “Amrikan” draws from her experience as an Indian American and seeks to answer “What is Indian food in America?” with recipes like saag paneer lasagna, achari paneer pizza and masala chai Basque cheesecake. Santa Cruz-based cookbook author Andrea Nguyen will host. Tickets are free, but registration is required.
