Here, find a curated list of the best food and drink events in Santa Cruz County for the coming week. At the top, I share my picks of unmissable local happenings.
It’s turkey trot season, and event company Collective Santa Cruz is hosting a 5K – 3.1-mile – holiday fun run with Cat & Cloud coffee Saturday morning. Runners meet at the Swift Street café in Santa Cruz at 9 a.m. to sign up and have a cup of joe, and the run starts at 9:30 a.m. Cat & Cloud roasted a special coffee for this event, a blend of coffees from Mexico and Costa Rica with a dark flavor profile and flavor notes of Oreo cookies, pecan pie and blueberry jam.
The Aptos Wine Wander returns to Aptos Village tomorrow from 1 to 4 p.m. Sixteen Santa Cruz-area wineries, including Lester Estate Wines, El Vaquero Winery and Kathryn Kennedy Winery, will post up at 13 businesses to pour samples of wine while guests sip and shop. Each $45 ticket includes a wine glass and map of tasting locations.
