Three people — two students and a staff member — were injured in two related attacks, including a stabbing, at Watsonville High School on Thursday morning, authorities said. Four students, ages 14 to 16, were arrested and face multiple felony charges, while police continue investigating possible motives and any links to a recent on-campus gun arrest.

PG&E pledges fixes after Mid-County residents endure months of power outages
Residents living in Mid-County just south of Aptos have been dealing with unreliable electricity for many years, but it’s been especially bad since the summer. At a community meeting on Thursday, Pacific Gas and Electric said that infrastructure updates that should make power much more reliable are expected to be done by Monday.
