Former Santa Cruz County counsel Dana McRae has joined the board of directors of Sempervirens Fund, California’s first land trust.
As a board member, McRae will help the organization continue its efforts to preserve natural spaces, promote wildfire resilience and address the challenges of climate change.
“I’ve lived in Santa Cruz my whole life and know how important it is to protect our redwoods and the communities around them,” McRae said in a media release. “I’m excited to support Sempervirens Fund’s work to make a lasting impact.”
McRae also serves as vice president of the Santa Cruz County Fair board of directors and is an active University of California Master Gardener.
“We’re thrilled to have Dana’s expertise and passion on our board,” Sara Barth, executive director of Sempervirens Fund, said in the release.
