A stretch of Highway 9 in Felton will be closed during the day in both directions Monday through Friday, Oct. 21 through 25. The closure will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. from 1 mile north of Highway 9’s junction with Highway 1 to Glengarry Road in Felton, in the area of Paradise Park and Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park.
According to the California Department of Transportation, the closure will allow for annual culvert clearing, vegetation management and trimming and removal of trees in advance of winter storms.
A detour will be available via Graham Hill Road, but motorists are urged to leave extra time to accommodate the change.
Message and directional signs will alert travelers in advance of the closure area.
