Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on Apr. 18
- Highway 1 will have overnight ramp and lane closures between Soquel Dr. and 41st Avenue from April 21 to April 23 for final striping. This is part of a project to add auxiliary lanes and bus-on-shoulder improvements.
Long-term projects
These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.
- A single lane on Little Basin Rd in San Lorenzo Valley is closed from December 23 to April 25, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. This closure is for the construction of two retaining walls and will cause traffic delays.
- Little Basin Road near Big Basin Way in San Lorenzo Valley will have single lane closures for storm damage repair. These closures will happen from January 16 to May 13, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., depending on the weather, and may cause traffic delays.
- A single lane on Sims Road is closed today from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for a pipeline project. Traffic control is in place to manage vehicles between Brook Knoll Road and 600 La Madrona Drive.
- Richmond Drive at Portola Drive and 24th Avenue is closed for the Rodeo pump station capacity upgrade project. Expect traffic delays and lane closures on Richmond and Portola Drive at 24th Avenue from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today, weather permitting. Construction also took place on April 12-13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
- A single lane on Soquel Drive, between Cotton Lane and Porter Street in Capitola/Soquel, is closed for the Soquel Village Emergency Sewer Project. The closure started on March 13 and will continue until May 9. Work is happening on weeknights only, from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
- Green Valley Road, from Holohan Road to Mesa Verde Road in Watsonville/Pajaro, will have single lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Expect delays or find another route. The work should be finished by April 30, weather permitting.
