Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on September 25
- South Highway 1 is facing closures at Park Avenue in Capitola / Soquel because of paving work. The closure will last until Nov. 19 at 7:01 a.m.
- Highway 9 at Pool Drive in San Lorenzo Valley has alternating lane closures because of bridge work. This will continue until April 30, 2027, at 6:59 a.m.
- Highway 9 at the San Lorenzo River and Kings Creek bridges in Santa Cruz County will have one-way reversing traffic control during the day and night from Monday to Friday during the week of Sept. 28. This is due to ongoing bridge replacement work.
- Overnight lane closures on Highway 1 near March Vista Drive in Aptos will start Sunday, Sept. 27. The far left lane in both directions will be closed at night for construction of a pedestrian bridge.
- Defective traffic signals were reported at Green Valley Rd and Paulsen Rd in Corralitos / Freedom at 8:13 p.m. today due to a power outage. PG&E is aware of the issue and expects power to be restored by 10:00 p.m. Bear Electric and CAL WEST have been notified and are responding.
- A single SUV crashed into an embankment on the northbound Soquel Drive onramp to Highway 1 in the Eastside / Live Oak area. The SUV ended up about 2 feet off the road on an incline. No injuries were reported. Tree debris was found in the roadway, and the onramp was closed for vehicle removal. The incident was reported today.
- A traffic hazard was reported at Highway 1 South and Buena Vista in Watsonville / Pajaro at 9:14 p.m. today. The vehicle involved exited onto Riverside towards Wats.
