Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on Mar. 24

  • A vehicle rolled over and got stuck on its side after hitting a redwood tree at 5243 Highway 9 in San Lorenzo Valley. No one was injured. Extreme Tow was called to help with the SUV. The incident was reported today.
     
  • A lane on South Highway 1 at Soquel Drive is closed for landscape work. The closure will last until 11:59 p.m. on March 31.
     
  • There is a traffic incident involving construction assistance at the intersection of Highway 1 South and Bay Porter in Capitola/Soquel. It was reported today at 8:20 p.m. and is expected to affect the area from 8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. tomorrow.
     
  • There was a traffic incident today on Highway 1 North at Bay Porter in Capitola. The #1 lane was closed between Porter and Soquel due to construction, with assistance from the California Highway Patrol.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • A single lane on Little Basin Rd in San Lorenzo Valley is closed from December 23 to April 25 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. for the construction of two retaining walls, causing traffic delays.
     
  • Little Basin Road near Big Basin Way in San Lorenzo Valley is experiencing single lane closures and traffic delays due to storm damage repair. This will occur from January 16 to May 13, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
