Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on September 29

  • A hit and run traffic collision with no injuries happened at 7:59 p.m. today at 880 Airport Blvd. in Watsonville / Pajaro.
     
  • CHP helped with a construction project on southbound Highway 1 at Larkin Valley in Aptos. Several vehicles and crews were involved, and the work continued until the early morning hours today.
     
  • A lane on southbound Highway 1 at Larkin Valley Road in Aptos is closed for drainage work. The closure is expected to end at 5:59 a.m. today.

  • Several trees fell and blocked both lanes at N Plymouth St. and El Rancho Dr. County Roads/Public Works closed the road at 5:42 p.m. today, with closures also at N Plymouth St. and Emeline Ave. The trees are expected to be cleared around 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. This affects the Eastside / Live Oak area.
     
  • There is a one-way traffic closure on North Highway 9 at Prospect Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley because of emergency work. The closure is expected to end at 3:59 p.m. on December 5.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • PG&E has started work to replace a gas main in the Arroyo and Jolon Drive neighborhood off Green Valley Road in Corralitos / Freedom. There is a soft road closure in the area, and construction is expected to continue through November 25.
