Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on October 27
- A traffic collision happened at 8:46 p.m. today at 21767 Bear Creek Rd in San Lorenzo Valley. A green Honda Element and a red sedan were involved. The people in the cars said they were okay but didn’t have cell reception at first. One car was partially blocking the road and both cars couldn’t be driven. Tow trucks were called to the scene.
- There is a one-way traffic closure on North Highway 9 at Prospect Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley because of emergency work. The closure is expected to end at 3:59 p.m. on December 5.
- There was a construction-related incident on northbound Highway 1 at State Park in Aptos today. CHP assisted at the scene.
Long-term projects

- Richmond Drive at Portola Drive and 24th Avenue in Twin Lakes, Eastside / Live Oak is closed because of ongoing project work. The road will stay closed until October 31 due to unexpected issues that are taking more time to fix.
- PG&E has started work to replace a gas main in the Arroyo and Jolon Drive neighborhood off Green Valley Road in Corralitos / Freedom. There is a soft road closure in the area. Construction is underway and will continue through November 25.
