Property code violations

County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.

  • The property at 761 Loma Prieta Dr, Aptos, CA 95003, which was cited for building code violations under case number NV24933, has now resolved the issues initially identified on July 13, 2023. At that time, the property owner had received formal notification of significant non-compliance with local building codes and a mandate for corrective action. The property owner has been assessed fees that must be paid to the county as part of the resolution process.
