Farmers market Sunday

The Corralitos Farm & Garden Market is a small, friendly, open-air market made up of local farmers and gardeners who grow within about a 5-mile radius of Corralitos. Seasonally is has strawberries, blueberries, cherries, lemons, tomatoes, herbs, squash, potatoes, carrots, peas, beets, and avocados, as well as a variety of other fruits, vegetables, lettuces and salad greens. Bakers offer treats, along with a table full of beautiful potted flowers. You may find expertly handmade natural soaps, and homemade jams and preserves.

Community crime report

  • A person was arrested for several serious charges, including showing a gun, making threats, causing injury to someone they had a relationship with, violating a local ordinance, breaking a court order meant to prevent domestic violence, carrying a loaded handgun that did not belong to them, destroying evidence, and assault with a firearm. The incident happened near the 1000 block of Dick Phelps Road at 2 a.m. on March 16. (source)
     
  • A person was involved in several offenses, including assaulting police and emergency workers, assaulting another person, shoplifting, assaulting a spouse or former partner, having illegal drugs, interfering with a public officer, and refusing to leave private property when asked by police.   • A hit-and-run involving a driver with a suspended license and suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol happened near the 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard in Watsonville at 10 p.m. on March 19. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, with one previous DUI offense. The incident happened near Larkin Valley Road at Buena Vista Drive. It occurred at 10 p.m. on March 21. (source)
