Property development
- The Santa Cruz County Planning Department has received a zoning application to renew a vacation rental permit for a two-bedroom property at 116 Glen Drive in the Aptos Planning Area. This existing single-family dwelling is currently used for short-term lodging, allowing guests to stay for up to 30 days. The proposal seeks to extend the permit’s expiration date from July 22, to July 22, 203. Under the Santa Cruz County Code, renewals are generally supported unless there are documented violations of the Vacation Rental Ordinance. Residents are encouraged to submit any public comments on the application by July 14, with a decision expected on or after July 15. Appeals must be filed within two weeks following the decision. Any issues related to the property’s use as a vacation rental should be reported to the designated emergency contact, whose details are available on-site and on the Planning Department’s website.
