Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region
- South Highway 9 at Lorenzo Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley has one-way traffic because of emergency work. This closure will last until April 1 at 3:59 p.m.
- One lane of northbound Highway 17 north of Scotts Valley will be closed during the day for vegetation work the week of Monday, March 9.
- A traffic incident was reported at the intersection of Seascape Blvd. and Dolphin Dr in CORD-County Roads at 6:59 a.m. today.
Property development
- The Santa Cruz County Planning Department is currently accepting public comments on a zoning application for 214 Beach Drive, where the project proposes to renew a permit for a two-bedroom vacation rental in an existing single-family home. If approved, the renewal would allow overnight stays of up to 30 days at a time and extend the permit’s expiration date from July 6, to July 6, 2031. County officials have confirmed that the issue has now been addressed, and they are currently monitoring the property to ensure ongoing compliance with all relevant regulations.
