Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A traffic hazard was reported today at 6:35 a.m. on Highway 1 South near Park. A vehicle was partially blocking the #2 lane, causing a slow lane obstruction. The Freeway Service Patrol arrived at 6:51 a.m. to move the vehicle to the next offramp, with no CHP standby needed.

  • Southbound lanes of Highway 1 are completely facing closures work. The closure will last until August 29 at 6:30 a.m.

  • A vehicle hit a power pole on Highway 9 at Irwin Way in Boulder Creek, San Lorenzo Valley, causing both directions of the highway to close. A SIG Alert was issued, and the road stayed closed for several hours while crews cleared the scene and fixed the damage. This led to major traffic delays, with vehicles being rerouted through alternate routes like the single-lane Alta Vista. The incident was reported on August 6.
