Property code violations

County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.

  • A code violation notice has been issued for the property at 1980 Seascape Blvd. A, Aptos 95003-5829 under case number NV25360. According to county records, the violation involves deck replacement or repair work that was performed without obtaining the required permits from the County of Santa Cruz. Local building codes mandate that permits must be secured for such construction to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. The case is currently at the “Notice and Order” stage, meaning the property owner has been formally notified of the violation and has been ordered to take corrective action.
