Community crime report

  • A person was arrested for shoplifting near the 400 block of Soquel Avenue in Santa Cruz at 4 a.m. on Aug. 20. (source)
     
  • A person hit his mother with a metal pole and threatened her with it. This happened near the 100 block of Dakota Avenue, Santa Cruz, at 6 p.m. on Aug. 19. The person was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and showing a deadly weapon in a threatening way. (source)
