Property code violations
County officials cite property owners for issues such as substandard housing, illegal uses of buildings, property maintenance, abandoned appliances or furniture, construction without permits, and other issues that affect public safety and quality of life.
- A code violation notice has been issued for the property at 424 Sims Rd, Santa Cruz, under case number NV25228. The violation pertains to an “Unpermitted ADU” (Accessory Dwelling Unit), indicating that an additional dwelling unit was constructed on the property without obtaining the necessary permits from local authorities.
- The property at 7 Club House Rd, Santa Cruz, which was cited for building code violations under case number NV25211, has now addressed the issues identified by the county. The violations involved an extensive house remodel, including the installation of a new railing on the deck, which was likely conducted without the necessary permits or approvals.
