- The Park Avenue ramps on Highway 1 in Santa Cruz County will reopen on September 5. The long-term closure of the Bay Avenue/Porter Street ramps on Highway 1 has been postponed. - Starting Monday, August 25, a long-term closure began on the northbound lane of Highway 9 between Lorenzo Avenue and Prospect Avenue in Santa Cruz County, San Lorenzo Valley, for emergency repairs. Work is expected to finish by December 5, depending on the weather.
Property development
- A permit application has been filed for a project at 124 25TH Ave., Santa Cruz 95062-531, proposing the addition of 17.75 square feet and a remodel of the existing two-story single-family home with an attached garage. The plans call for updated exterior finishes, new doors and windows, and the installation of new hardscape, planters, and a fence. Because the property is located on the southern end of 25th Avenue along the coastal bluff, the project requires a Coastal Development Permit. (view details)
