Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on March 30
- A minor injury crash happened at 8:01 p.m. today on northbound Highway 17 at Sugarloaf Rd in Scotts Valley. One vehicle was involved and ended up blocking the slow lane on a blind curve. People were still inside the car when it was reported. Emergency services were called and a tow truck was requested. No airbags went off.
- Southbound Highway 1 between Buena Vista Dr. and Airport Blvd. in Watsonville will be fully closed overnight again starting Sunday, March 29. The closure happens from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. and is a continuation of previous overnight closures on March 25 and 26.
- Starting today, Caltrans crews will begin safety improvement projects on Highway 129 and Highway 152 in Watsonville. There will be lane closures during the day and overnight on both highways. The work will take place in Watsonville, Santa Cruz County, near the Watsonville and Pajaro areas.
- South Highway 9 at Lorenzo Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley has one-way traffic because of emergency work. This closure will last until 3:59 p.m. on April 1.
- Daytime one-way reversing traffic control will be in place at several spots on Highway 9 in San Lorenzo Valley, between McGaffigan and other locations, from Monday through Friday this week. There will be no traffic control on Tuesday, March 31 because of a state holiday.
- A lane on westbound SR-152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway in Watsonville/Pajaro is closed for asphalt paving. The closure will last until July 3 at 5:59 a.m.
- A brown German Shepherd dog with a collar was seen running in and out of the road at Soquel Ave. and 7th Ave. in the Eastside / Live Oak area, creating a hazard for drivers. This was reported today.
