Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A lane on westbound Highway 152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway is closed for asphalt paving. The closure is scheduled to last until July 3.

Farmers’ market Tuesday

El Mercado is a weekly farmers’market aiming to decrease food insecurity and improve access to health-promoting resources for Pajaro Valley families. This wellness-focused market offers health services such as diabetes screening in addition to fresh fruits and vegetables.

Community crime report

  • A man vandalized a medical building with graffiti. This happened near the 100 block of Aspen Way in Watsonville at 10 p.m. on June 4. The suspect left before police arrived and has not been found. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested on a confirmed misdemeanor warrant. The incident happened near Maple Avenue and Union Street, Watsonville. It occurred at 8 p.m. on June 4. The person was taken to the Santa Cruz County Jail. (source)
     
  • Police stopped a silver Mercedes and found a controlled substance during a search. Both people in the car were on probation. One person was arrested for having a controlled substance and violating probation. The incident happened near the 1400 block of Freedom Boulevard in Watsonville at 4 p.m. on June 4. (source)
