Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • A traffic collision happened at the intersection of San Andreas Road and Dairy Road at 6:26 a.m. today. Both vehicles were blocking the road, with one lane blocked. Emergency services responded, and tow trucks were requested but later canceled. There was no information about any injuries.
     
  • A lane on westbound Highway 152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway is closed for asphalt paving. The closure is expected to last until July 3.
     
  • A lane on eastbound Highway 129 at Union Street is closed for utility work. The closure is scheduled to last until 3:01 p.m. tomorrow.

  • A new business named CHARLIS DELIVERY SERVICE was registered at 2 Loma Prieta Ave., Freedom, on April 14. The business was registered by Janet Munoz as an individual business.

  • A person tried to get away from police, did not follow officers’ orders and broke the rules of their probation. They are also accused of abusing an elderly or dependent adult, causing injury to a spouse or partner, and violating a domestic violence restraining order. This happened around 3 p.m. on April 3 near the 2000 block of Altivo Avenue in Watsonville. (source)
     
  • A person was injured by their spouse or partner, and there was an assault with a deadly weapon that was not a firearm. The incident happened near the 1000 block of Sixth Street in Watsonville at 5 p.m. on April 3. (source)
     
  • A person showed a deadly weapon (not a gun) near Main Street and 1st Avenue in Watsonville at 7 p.m. on April 3. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested for battery on a spouse, ex-spouse or dating partner. The incident happened near the 4000 block of Airport Boulevard, Watsonville, at 9 a.m. on April 4. The person was released on bond. (source)
      
  • A domestic battery incident happened near the 6000 block of Tuttle Ave. in Watsonville at midnight on April 4. The person involved was arrested and later released. (source)
     
  • A person was caught driving with a suspended license due to a previous DUI, had illegal drug paraphernalia and was found with a controlled substance. This person also had two or more prior offenses for possessing controlled substances and was in violation of probation in several ways. The incident happened near the 1300 block of Main Street in Watsonville at noon on April 4. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested for having drugs with the intent to sell, transporting and selling controlled substances, and having marijuana for sale. The incident happened near Carey Avenue and Green Valley Road in Watsonville at 1 p.m. on April 4. The person was released on bond. (source)
