Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • One lane of SR-129 at Loughead Avenue is closed for utility work. The closure was reported today and will end on Dec. 16 at 4:01 p.m.
     
  • Long-term projects: Green Valley Road in Watsonville is closed for the Multi-Use Trail Improvement Project, with single lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. On Buena Vista Drive and Ranport Road in Watsonville, a single lane is closed on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for tree trimming, causing delays.

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Santa Cruz reports both those who have passed the inspections and those that the county deems to have a “major” issue. The county’s full ongoing report can be accessed here.

  • Main Kitchen (the Rustic Table) at 55 Brennan St, Watsonville, passed a county health inspection on Nov. 13 with no critical issues.
     
  • Ranch Milk Market at 1 S Green Valley Rd, Freedom, passed a county health inspection on Nov. 14 with no critical issues.
     
  • Wooden Nickel Bar And Grill at 1819 Freedom Blvd, Freedom, was cited for high-risk violations of unapproved food sources or contaminated food during a county health inspection on Nov. 14. The issues were resolved during the inspection.
     
  • 98 Cents Plus Super Store at 1119 Freedom Blvd, Watsonville, passed a county health inspection on Nov. 20 with no critical issues.
     
  • Burger King #3179 at 1403 Freedom Blvd, Watsonville, passed a county health inspection on Nov. 20 with no critical issues.
