DESSERTS, DADS AND FARMERS MARKET’S 50TH
Santa Cruz’s sweetest festival returns for a fourth year this Saturday. Sweet Home Santa Cruz, presented by Collective Santa Cruz and hosted by Humble Sea Brewing Co., expanded its footprint beyond the Westside craft brewery to a stretch of McPherson Street all the way to “five-star dive bar” Mission West. Expect dessert vendors, live beats, a kid zone, and art vendors. Entry is free.
The Aptos farmers market at Cabrillo College is celebrating its 50th birthday – that’s half a century of produce and treats from nearby farms and vendors. This Sunday is Father’s Day, and Aptos High School is hosting The Dad Wave 5K on Saturday morning at 9 a.m. This family-friendly fun run costs $25, with proceeds benefiting local nonprofits The Circle Family Center and MENtors. – Lily Belli
