Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Highway 9 at Cascade Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley has one-way traffic due to ongoing work. This closure will last until August 31.
     
  • There will be alternating lane closures on both northbound and southbound Highway 9 at Pool Drive in San Lorenzo Valley because of bridge work. This will continue until April 30 at 6:59 a.m.
     
  • South Highway 1 at Buena Vista Drive in Watsonville / Pajaro is facing closures for drainage work. The closure is expected to end at 3:59 p.m. today.

  • A sexual assault was reported, involving rape of a person unable to give consent and sexual penetration by force or fear. The incident happened near the 1000 Block of Cedar Dr, Santa Cruz, at 6 a.m. on July 6. (source)
     
  • An explosive device was used to damage property and cause injury in a felony vandalism incident near the 800 Block of Cedar St., Santa Cruz. This happened at 2 a.m. on July 5. (source)
     
  • A person damaged property worth $400 or more, interfered with a public officer, was drunk in public, and broke probation rules several times. This happened near 265 WATER St., Santa Cruz County at 8 p.m. on June 2. (source)
     
  • Police responded to a situation where someone was obstructing or resisting an officer and violating parole. This happened near the 100 Block of Main St., Santa Cruz at 10 p.m. on July 5. (source)
