The Santa Cruz Paddlefest will return to Steamer Lane on March 28-30, for the first time in six years.
For 33 years, the event was a tradition for the local paddle surf community — surf kayaks, stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), waveskis and other forms of paddle surfing. But the event was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and had yet to return. Promoters of the event are still raising funds through GoFundMe to stage the event. Registration for the event will begin in early 2025.
