Temporary road closures will be in place Friday to accommodate Independence Day parades in La Selva Beach, Aptos and Boulder Creek. Drivers should expect short-term traffic delays in each area during the events.
Closure details:
La Selva Beach: Playa Boulevard (Palma Avenue to Benito Avenue), 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Aptos: Soquel Drive (State Park Drive to Trout Gulch Road) and surrounding roads, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Boulder Creek: Highway 9, Pine Street and Lomond Street, 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Scotts Valley: Scotts Valley Drive and Carbonero Way, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Watsonville: Main Street, all side streets from First Street to Western Drive.
Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and expect brief detours during parade hours.
