The Scotts Valley Art Wine & Beer Festival is back at Skypark on Aug. 16 and 17, promising two days of art, music, food and family fun. Organized by the Scotts Valley Chamber of Commerce, the festival has continued to grow since it began in 2001 as “Art Under the Oak.”
This year’s juried event features 130 artists, including 38 newcomers, alongside local wineries, breweries and food trucks. Live entertainment includes James Durbin and the Lost Boys, headlining on Saturday, Aug. 16.
That day also brings the Cops n’ Rodders classic car show and parade benefiting local youth groups. Sunday is all about pets, with “Dog Day Sunday” featuring fun competitions hosted by former KSBW-TV reporter Phil Gomez and a K-9 demo from law enforcement.
