Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on September 25

  • CHP helped Caltrans with maintenance work on northbound Highway 17 at Sugarloaf Road in Scotts Valley today.
     
  • A lane on northbound Highway 17 at W Vine Hill Road in Scotts Valley is closed for tree work. The closure is expected to end at 4:01 a.m. today.
     
  • A three-car crash happened at 284 Soquel Ave. in Eastside / Live Oak today at 4:07 p.m. One car was blocking a turn lane and a blue Volkswagen van was involved. At first, there were reports of minor injuries, but it was later confirmed that no one was hurt. The road was reopened after the crash, and a tow truck was called for a damaged Kia.
     
  • A lane on southbound Highway 1 at Larkin Valley Road in Aptos is closed for drainage work. The closure is expected to end at 5:59 a.m. on September 29.
     
  • Alternating lanes are closed on southbound Highway 1 at Larkin Valley Road in Aptos because of drainage work. The closure is expected to end at 5:59 a.m. today.
     
  • Southbound Highway 1 at Larkin Valley Road in Aptos is facing closures for drainage work. The closure is expected to end at 5:59 a.m. on September 29.
     
  • A three-car crash with minor injuries happened at San Juan Rd and Allison Ln in Watsonville/Pajaro at 8:06 p.m. today. All eastbound lanes were blocked for a while, and tow trucks were called for damaged vehicles, including a trailer with blown tires. The crash was first reported as a hit and run with no injuries, but later updated to a minor injury collision. All eastbound lanes reopened by 9:22 p.m.
     
  • A lane on East SR-129 at Main Street in Watsonville / Pajaro is closed for utility work. The closure is expected to end at 5:01 a.m. tomorrow.
     
  • There is a one-way traffic closure on North Highway 9 at Prospect Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley because of emergency work. The closure is expected to end at 3:59 p.m. on December 5.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • PG&E has started work to replace a gas main in the Arroyo and Jolon Drive neighborhood off Green Valley Road in Corralitos / Freedom. Construction is underway and will continue through November 25, with a soft closure in the area.
