Road incidents as of 8:30 p.m. on February 5
- A large redwood tree about 4 feet wide and 100 feet long fell across the westbound lanes at Mountain View Rd and Vine Hill Rd in Scotts Valley, blocking traffic. Neighbors tried to clear the tree, with one person using a chainsaw and another sweeping the road. Power lines were down, but no pole was affected. PG&E and fire services were called and responded to the scene. The incident was reported today.
