Road incidents as of 8 a.m. on October 27
- There is roadway flooding on Elkhorn Rd between Hidden Valley Rd and Strawberry Rd in the Watsonville / Pajaro area. Water from the slough is coming onto the road and has reached the dirt barrier. The road is not fully flooded yet, but there is a lot of water on the road and orange ‘FLOODED’ signs are up. This was reported yesterday.
- A Ford F150 and a silver Honda Odyssey were involved in a crash at Larkin Valley Rd and White Rd in Aptos at 7:13 a.m. The Ford F150 lost its front left tire and there was smoke coming from the SUV. Minor injuries were reported. Tow trucks were called for both vehicles. The incident was reported today.
- South Highway 1 at Park Avenue in Capitola / Soquel is facing closures for paving work. The closure is expected to end at 7:01 a.m. on Nov. 19.
- Highway 9 at Pool Drive in San Lorenzo Valley will have alternating lane closures because of bridge work. This will continue until April 30, 2027, at 6:59 a.m.
- A possible deceased puppy was reported in the #1 lane on Highway 1 Northbound near the Fishhook in the Eastside / Live Oak area. The incident was reported today.
