Road incidents as of 8:30 p.m. on November 18

  • A bicycle was found in the #2 lane ofbound Highway 1 at Buena Vista in Watsonville / Pajaro. Later, a Mazda with damage from running over the bicycle was seen, but no rider was found at the scene. Authorities are looking for the rider. The incident was reported today.
     
  • A lane on East SR-129 at Main Street in Watsonville / Pajaro is closed for pavement repair. The closure is expected to end at 5:01 a.m. tomorrow.
     
  • Southbound Highway 17 in the Eastside / Live Oak area is facing closures for road striping. The closure is expected to end at 5:59 a.m. tomorrow.
     
  • Northbound Highway 17 in Scotts Valley is facing closures for road striping. The closure is expected to end at 4:59 a.m. tomorrow.
     
  • Northbound Highway 9 at Prospect Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley is down to one-way traffic because of emergency work. This is expected to last until 3:59 p.m. on December 5.
     
  • There is one-way traffic control on SR-236 at Little Basin Road in San Lorenzo Valley because of tree work. The closure is expected to end at 1:30 p.m. today.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • PG&E has started work to replace a gas main in the Arroyo and Jolon Drive neighborhood off Green Valley Road in Corralitos / Freedom. There is a soft road closure in the area, and construction is expected to continue through November 25.
