Shortly after 9 p.m. Monday, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office received calls from several witnesses reporting gunfire and people running along the 200 block of San Andreas Road in Watsonville.
The sheriff’s office has opened an investigation into the shooting, as three unknown individuals approached a man standing outside his vehicle before opening fire and unleashing multiple rounds. Two vehicles were shot, but no injuries have been reported.
The sheriff’s office was unable to provide further details on the ongoing investigation. No arrests have been made, and anyone with information is asked to call 831-471-1121.
