Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on September 24

  • There was a construction-related incident on northbound Highway 17 at Sugarloaf Road in Scotts Valley. CHP assisted at the scene. The incident was reported today.
     
  • A lane on northbound Highway 17 at W Vine Hill Road in Scotts Valley is closed for tree work. The closure is expected to end at 4:01 a.m. tomorrow.
     
  • CHP helped with construction on southbound Highway 1 between Freedom and Larkin Valley in Aptos today. The #2 lane was closed for the work.
     
  • A lane on southbound Highway 1 at Larkin Valley Road in Aptos is closed for drainage work. The closure is expected to end at 5:59 a.m. on September 29.
     
  • Alternating lanes are closed on South Highway 1 at Larkin Valley Road in Aptos because of drainage work. The closure is expected to end at 5:59 a.m. tomorrow.
     
  • Southbound Highway 1 at Larkin Valley Road in Aptos is facing closures for drainage work. The closure is expected to end at 5:59 a.m. on September 29.

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • PG&E has started work to replace a gas main in the Arroyo and Jolon Drive neighborhood off Green Valley Road in Corralitos / Freedom. There is a soft road closure in the area. Construction is underway and is expected to continue through November 25.
