Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on May 6

  • A traffic collision happened at the intersection of Salinas Road and Werner Road in Watsonville/Pajaro. Emergency services are on their way to the scene. This was reported today.
     
  • A traffic collision happened at the intersection of Crg12 and Apricot Ln in Watsonville/Pajaro, causing minor injuries. The incident was reported today.
     
  • An animal hazard was reported on Highway 1 at the intersection with Coast Road in the Bonny Doon/Davenport area. The California Highway Patrol logged the incident at 8:18 p.m. today.
     
  • The southbound lanes of Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel are facing closures for road excavation. This closure will continue until 6:30 a.m. on August 29.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • A single lane on Sims Road and La Madrona Drive, from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive, is closed for a pipeline project. The closure is in effect daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with traffic control measures in place.
     
  • Richmond Drive and Portola Drive at 24th Avenue will have traffic delays and lane closures due to the Rodeo pump station upgrade project. Construction is scheduled for April 12-13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., weather permitting.
     
  • A single lane on Soquel Drive, from Cotton Lane to Porter Street, is closed for the Soquel Village Emergency Sewer Project. The closure is in effect from March 25 to May 9, with work happening on weeknights only from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The project is being done at night to reduce daytime traffic disruption.
     
  • Little Basin Road near Big Basin Way in San Lorenzo Valley is experiencing single lane closures and traffic delays due to storm damage repair. This will occur from January 16 to May 13, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., weather permitting.
