Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on July 7
- The California Highway Patrol helped with a construction-related issue at 10395 Soquel Dr in Aptos this evening.
- A traffic incident occurred on Highway 1 North at Buena Vista in Watsonville/Pajaro. The California Highway Patrol assisted with construction, and at 7:58 p.m., the #1 northbound lane was closed from Mar Monte to Freedom. This was reported today.
- The southbound lanes of Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel are facing closures for roadwork. This closure will continue until August 29 at 6:30 a.m.
Long-term projects
These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.
- A single lane on Sims Road is closed from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. today due to a pipeline project. Traffic control is in place to manage vehicles between Brook Knoll Road and 600 La Madrona Drive.
- Richmond Drive and Portola Drive at 24th Avenue will have traffic delays and lane closures today from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. due to the Rodeo pump station capacity upgrade project, weather permitting. Construction will also take place on April 12-13 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
