Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on September 3

  • A vehicle crashed into a structure, possibly hitting a support post for an overhang, at 6230 Highway 9 in San Lorenzo Valley. No one was hurt. The fire department came to check if the structure was still safe. The incident was reported today.
     
  • There are alternating lane closures in both directions on Highway 9 at Pool Drive in San Lorenzo Valley because of bridge work. This will continue until April 30, 2027, at 6:59 a.m.
     
  • South Highway 1 at Route 129 in Watsonville and Pajaro is facing closures because of road work. The closure will last until 5:59 a.m. on Sept. 9.

  • A lane on North/South Highway 9 at Watermans Gap Junction in San Lorenzo Valley is closed for tree work. The closure is expected to end at 2:30 p.m. on Sept. 8.
     
  • CHP helped with construction at Highway 1 North and Riverside in Watsonville and Pajaro. The work was expected to continue until 4:00 a.m. today.
     
  • A large piece of wood was found in the lane on Highway 9 South at Glengarry Road in San Lorenzo Valley, creating a traffic hazard. This was reported today.
