Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • South Highway 1 is facing closures at Highway 129 because of roadwork. The closure is expected to last until Sept. 9.
     
  • Alternating lanes are closed on Highway 129 at Highway 1 because of roadwork. This is expected to last until Sept. 9.
     
  • There is one-way traffic on Highway 129 at Union Street because of roadwork. This closure is expected to last until Sept. 9.
      
  • A lane on Highway 129 at Riverside Drive is closed for electrical work. The closure is expected to end today at 12:01 p.m.

Community crime report

  • Police arrested a woman for having drug paraphernalia, a suspected controlled substance, and lost or stolen property. She also refused to identify herself and had five outstanding warrants, including both felony and misdemeanor charges. The incident happened near Lincoln Street, Watsonville, at 6 a.m. on Sept. 2.   • A person was arrested for shoplifting and had two outstanding warrants, one felony and one misdemeanor. The incident happened near the 400 block of Rodriguez Street, Watsonville, at 7 a.m. on Sept. 2. The person was taken to county jail. (source)
     
  • A male juvenile was arrested for resisting or obstructing a police officer. The incident happened near Walker Street and Front Street, Watsonville, at 3 p.m. on Sept. 2. The juvenile was taken to Juvenile Hall. (source)
     
  • Two people were cited for trespassing and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The incident happened near the 1400 block of Main Street, Watsonville, at midnight on Sept. 3. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested for trespassing on private property near Corralitos Creek. The incident happened near the 100 Bbock of Airport Boulevard, Watsonville. It occurred at 8 a.m. on Sept. 2. The person was given a citation and released at the scene. (source)
