On Saturday, June 7, 2025, the Santa Cruz Symphony will present its highly anticipated annual POPS concert, “John Williams Encore,” at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. This special benefit performance celebrates the legendary film composer John Williams, featuring thrilling selections from his iconic scores for Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, E.T., Jurassic Park, and more. The concert begins at 7:30 PM, with doors opening at 7:00 PM.
Before the performance, a lively Street Party kicks off at 5:00 PM in front of the Civic Auditorium. Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy live music, food trucks, and a festive community celebration. One of the evening’s highlights will be a costume contest—so fans are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite characters from the worlds of John Williams. And just announced: the first 50 kids to arrive will receive a free light saber to add to the fun!
This event is more than a concert—it’s a celebration of music, movies, and community. It also serves as a benefit for the Santa Cruz Symphony, supporting its mission to enrich the cultural life of the community through music.
