Gwyneth rejoins Lookout Santa Cruz as a newsroom intern. Originally from Santa Cruz, she recently graduated from Anglo American University in Prague, and is now pursuing a joint masters in international affairs and journalism from Sciences Po in Paris, France.
While working on a bachelor's degree focused on international relations, she gained an interest in journalism, local reporting, and the role of independent media in democracy. She is excited to be working once again with Lookout to share local stories. She is most interested in diving into Santa Cruz county's past, present, and future.

County launches 24-hour mobile mental health service
Santa Cruz County’s new Mobile Crisis Response Team offers 24-hour phone services in Spanish and English for residents experiencing a mental health crisis. Teams can also respond in person. County officials said they expect the program to reduce the number of emergency room visits and law enforcement interventions.
