Here, find a curated list of the best food and drink events in Santa Cruz County for the coming week. At the top, I share my picks of unmissable local happenings.

Bargetto Winery is hosting its 36th annual art & wine festival this weekend, one of the historic Soquel winery’s biggest events of the year. The fun goes from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday, with a dense lineup of more than 30 local artists and craftspeople, food artisans and food trucks, plus two live music acts on each day, with wine tasting and beverages provided by Bargetto. This event is free to enter.

Homeless Garden Project’s annual Sustain Supper returns to the Natural Bridges Farm in Santa Cruz’s Westside neighborhood on Saturday from 4 to 7:30 p.m. This farm-to-table dinner fundraises for the local nonprofit, which provides transitional employment, support services and job training to people experiencing homelessness. Katie Reicher, the head chef at landmark vegetarian restaurant Greens in San Francisco, will prepare the meal. The keynote speaker is Manjula Martin, author of “The Last Fire Season,” a memoir about the CZU Lightning Complex fires that devastated large swaths of Northern California, including Santa Cruz County, in 2020. Tickets are $195 and available at homelessgardenproject.org
