On Saturday and Sunday, El Vaquero Winery in Corralitos is hosting a Chili Cook-Off at the tasting room. Chili tasting will take place on both days, with live music from The Rayburn Brothers on Saturday and from Cake by the Ocean on Sunday. Tickets are $25 and include chili tastings. This Sunday, visit the Museum of Art and History in Santa Cruz for an afternoon of cocktails and history at In Pour Taste: A Timeless Cocktail Series. In honor of Native American Heritage Month, Rebecca Hernandez, the community archivist at UC Santa Cruz, will discuss the history of powwows, intertribal gatherings that include dancing, singing, food and community. Tickets are $25 for MAH members, $40 for non-members, and include a custom cocktail (with or without alcohol) from Front & Cooper, the bar in Abbott Square, featuring herbs from the MAH’s native plant learning garden.
