Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on August 15
- A traffic collision happened at the intersection of Lakeview Rd and College Rd in Watsonville/Pajaro. It involved a black GMC Yukon and a white sedan. The incident was reported at 9:28 p.m. A mother involved in the crash hit her head and needed medical help.
- South Highway 1 in Capitola/Soquel is completely facing closures. The closure will last until 6:30 a.m. on August 29.
Long-term projects
These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.
- A single lane on Sims Road and La Madrona Drive, from Brook Knoll Road to 600 La Madrona Drive, is closed for the SCWD and SLVWD pipeline project. The closure is from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with traffic control in place.
- Richmond Drive at Portola Drive and 24th Avenue is closed due to the Rodeo pump station capacity upgrade project. Expect traffic delays and lane closures in the area, depending on the weather. Special construction hours were on April 12-13, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.
