Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • A lane on westbound Highway 152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway is closed for asphalt paving. The closure is expected to last until July 3.
     

Community crime report

  • A person was charged with several offenses involving a minor, including contacting and arranging to meet the minor for sex, possessing and using obscene material involving a minor, violating local ordinances and engaging in sexual acts with the minor. The incident happened near the 3000 block of Jefferson Street, Watsonville, at 5 p.m. on April 12. (source)
     
  • A person was arrested for injuring their spouse or partner, keeping someone from leaving against their will and being cruel to a child. The incident happened near the 500 block of Airport Boulevard in Watsonville at 4 p.m. on April 14. (source)
     
  • A person was held against their will, a stolen vehicle was found, and there was vandalism causing over $10,000 in damage. This happened near Harkins Slough Road, Watsonville, at 9 p.m. on April 13. (source)
     
  • Multiple charges were reported, including showing a deadly weapon (not a firearm), making threats to terrorize, selling alcohol to a minor, causing injury to a spouse or partner, using someone else’s ID to get credit and having a fake driver’s license or ID card.
