Road incidents as of 11:30 a.m. on July 17
- Defective traffic signals were reported today at the intersection of Freedom Blvd. and Soquel Dr in Aptos. CHP responded and tried to fix the signals, but the problem continued. The issue was reported to county roads for further action.
- A road closure was reported on southbound Highway 1 at Buena Vista in the Watsonville/Pajaro area. The onramp and right-hand shoulder were closed from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. today.
- There is a one-way traffic closure on North/South Highway 9 at Cascade Avenue in San Lorenzo Valley because of ongoing work. This closure will last until August 31 at 7:01 a.m.
- There will be alternating lane closures on Highway 9 at Pool Drive in San Lorenzo Valley because of bridge work. The closures will continue until April 30, 2027 at 6:59 a.m.
- Five vehicles were blocking the view for drivers at the intersection of Winkle Ave. and Soquel Dr in Eastside / Live Oak, making it hard to see oncoming traffic and turn safely. This was reported today.
- CHP helped with construction work at the intersection of Highway 9 and Kings Creek Road near the San Lorenzo Bridge and Kings Creek Bridge in San Lorenzo Valley. The work was scheduled from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today.
