It has come to my attention that Rep. Jimmy Panetta does not hold in-person town halls. I know that the last one I attended was before the pandemic, and it was held in conjunction with Rep. Anna Eshoo. While I do respect that Rep. Panetta holds telephone town halls, I have personally had the experience where I left a question that was not addressed during the call, and for which I never received a return call even though I left my number. One thing I will say concerning former Rep. Sam Farr, even though I might have disagreed with him on policy issues, he was never afraid to face his constituents in person in a town-hall setting.
I hope community members who agree with me that it is long past time for Rep. Panetta to start holding in-person town halls again will let him know. His contact information can be found here.
