I am completely floored that Hillary Ojeda wrote about the April 16 Pajaro Valley Unified School District meeting without mentioning the blatant antisemitism in trustee Gabriel Medina’s speech. Much of his speech would have been appropriate at a white supremacist rally. Joy Flynn’s comment about the “economic power historically held by the Jewish community” was also shocking. Regardless of how one views the proposed ethnic studies curriculum, calling out all racism and antisemitism is essential. These board members need to be held responsible for their behavior.
