Road incidents as of 9:30 p.m. on April 20

  • A traffic crash happened on southbound Highway 1 at Morrissey in the Eastside / Live Oak area. Emergency services are on the way, and a tow truck has been requested. The incident was reported as unintentional. This was reported today.
     
  • South Highway 1 is facing closures at Buena Vista Drive in Watsonville / Pajaro for drainage work. The closure is expected to end at 3:59 p.m. today.
     
  • A lane on westbound SR-152 at Clifford Drive/Ohlone Parkway in Watsonville and Pajaro is closed for asphalt paving. The closure will last until July 3 at 5:59 a.m.
     
  • A lane on East SR-129 at Union Street in Watsonville / Pajaro is closed for utility work. The closure will last until 3:01 p.m. on April 22.
     
  • North Highway 1 in Capitola and Soquel is facing closures for sign work. The closure is expected to end at 4:59 a.m. today.
     
  • Alternating lanes are closed on North Highway 1 at State Park Drive in Aptos for sign work. The closure is expected to end at 4:59 a.m. today.
     
  • Alternating lanes are closed on South Highway 1 at Bay Avenue in Capitola / Soquel for sign work. The closure is expected to end at 6:30 a.m. today.
     
  • A lane on North Highway 17 at Beulah Park/La Madrona in the Eastside / Live Oak area is closed for tree work. The closure will end today at 1:30 p.m.
     
  • There is one-way traffic on SR-129 at Salsipueda Creek Bridge in the Watsonville/Pajaro area because of tree work. This is expected to end at 3:01 p.m. today.
     
  • There is one-way traffic on South SR-236 in Big Basin State Park, San Lorenzo Valley because of electrical work. The closure will end at 2:01 p.m. today.
     
  • There is one-way traffic on SR-236 at Glen Way in San Lorenzo Valley because of tree work. The closure will end at 2:30 p.m. today.
     

Long-term projects

These have been going on for a while, but are still worth keeping in mind.

  • Daytime one-way reversing traffic control will continue on Highway 9 at the San Lorenzo River and Kings Creek Bridge, north of Boulder Creek in Santa Cruz County, during the week of April 20. This will take place Monday through Friday as part of ongoing bridge replacement work.
